Obituary of Grace Ellen Pearston

Grace was born in Gagetown, NB on March 31, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Gavin Pearston of Rutherglen Scotland and Ethel (Swaine) of Cape Nergo, NS. Grace was a retired cook, having worked at the Fairway Hotel and Restaurant, the Maples, All Seasons and Longs Irving, She also planted Trees for Irving and Farmed most of her life, She was a founding member of the New Brunswick Dairy Goat Association, a member of the Canadian Goat Association, a member of the Daughters of the Nile. and an active member in the Jehovah's Witness. Grace will live on in the hearts of her children: Cathy MacKinley of Calgary, Alberta, Mary Parlee of Mt. Middleton, Rose Korth and Carolyn Martin of Parkindale, Gavin Hearn of Mt. Middleton, Lori Riley and her husband David of Plumweseep, Gordon Hearn and his wife Tabatha of Kingston Peninsula and Sarah Hearn of Hampton; two brothers: John Pearston and his wife Margaret of Oakville, ON and Lloyd Pearston and his wife Ruth of Bible Hill, NS; her sister Jean Pearston of Montreal, Quebec; 20 grandchildren: Ruby, Owen, Holly, Lennie, Bobby, Winkie, David, Danny, Shaun, Becky, Craig, Seren, Seamus, Dylan, Hannah, Nicholas, Alysha, Tommy, Shelby and Damon; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ms. Grace Ellen Pearston of Kodiak Place Petitcodiac passed away at the Moncton Hospital on February 7, 2016 at the age of 78. She is predeceased by a brother-in-law, Gilles DesJardin; a son-in-law, Hartford Parlee and by the father of her children, Bill Hearn. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Grace’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 11:00 am followed by an opportunity to visit with the family.
