Obituary of William Douglas John Gregg
William was born in Sussex on January 23, 1964, he was the son of the late John Alexander Gregg of Sussex and Ellinor Johanna Kristine Pedersen of Denmark and the beloved husband of Janet (Tabor) Gregg.
William and Janet met on July 11, 1987; when she was 19 and he was 24. He was working at Crowevel farms at the time, little did they know at the time that they would be married ten years later.
He went to work for Bayshore Sawmill in January of 1989 and after they closed he moved to J.D. Irving Sawmill where he worked for 26 years holding many positions from piling lumber, running loader and other machines to his current position as drum operator.
William was a hard worker and great provider. Occasionally, he would work at the mill, followed by the farm and then go help Janet deliver the Telegraph Journal.
They had their first daughter, Ashlee in December of 1988. He was so proud and excited and was a very hands on father; it didn't matter if it was feeding, rocking or changing diapers; he wanted to be involved. In November of 1995, their second daughter, Jenna was born. He loved her on sight and she became daddy's baby girl. He was a dedicated father and family oriented man, his girls always came first; attending all of their school and sports activities. He would even take their birthdays off of work to be with them on their special days.
