Vergil Keirstead was born in Salem Kings Co. on March 22, 1931; he was the son of the late Otty and Eva (Carson) Keirstead. He will live on in the hearts of his sisters: Louise Black and her husband Albert of Hunters Home and Luella Beck of Petitcodiac; his sisters-in-law, Theresa of Havelock and Nancy of Hunter's Home; as well as several nieces and nephews. Vergil Harvey Keirstead previously of Havelock and Sussex passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on March 20, 2016 at the age of 84. He is predeceased by his brothers: Eugene and Stillman; by his sister, Bernice Alward and by his brothers-in-law: Leslie Beck and Charles Alward. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A graveside service will be held at Salem Cemetery at a later date.
