Obituary of Marion Brown
Marion was born in Petitcodiac on April 1, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lena (Perry) Hunt and was the wife of the late Palmer Brown who passed away July 22, 1999.
Marion is survived by her son, James D. Brown of Etobicoke, ON, her sister-in-law: Grace Dunfield of Penobsquis, as well as several nieces and nephews. Marion was the last surviving member of her immediate family she was predeceased by two sisters: Nora Drury and Ernestine Pickett.
Marion lived in Petitcodiac, Sussex, Ontario and Penobsquis. She attended Petitcodiac Superior School. Marion married Palmer Brown in 1945 and they ran Hotel Petitcodiac and eventually ended up going to Ontario to work as a retail clerk. Upon returning to New Brunswick, she was a baker in Riverview and later was office support for Palmer Brown Well Drilling Ltd.
Marion always had a smile for those she met and a kind word. She will be truly missed and remembered by all who knew her. Once again reunited with her beloved Palmer.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex.
A Celebration of Marion's life is held from Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11:00 am.
The interment will take place in Cardwell Cemetery in the spring.
