Obituary of Wilhelmina Martin Hayes

Mrs. Wilhelmina “Bunty” Hayes of Chateau de Champlain Saint John formerly of Sussex passed away on May 6, 2016 at the age of 95. Wilhelmina is survived by her daughters: Karen Breau (Joseph) and Myrna Naile (Rev. John Naile), her sons: Lloyd (Mary), Kenneth (Linda), and Andrew (Kathie); nine grandchildren, one great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. Wilhelmina is predeceased by her husband Lloyd, her brothers: George and Bill Fair; and by her sisters: Jean Carson and Margaret Perry. She will be remembered for her steadfast spiritual beliefs, love of family and her Scottish heart. She was an inspiration to her family; in later years she became interested in art and many of her paintings hang in the homes of family and friends. Wilhelmina authored two published books documenting her life stories, Return to Orrock and The Scottish Heart, leaving a legacy for her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Wednesday 6-8. A service celebrating Mrs. Hayes’s life will be held from Sussex Wesleyan Church on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11:00 am. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dorothy from Bayshore Health Care and the staff from Joan’s Home Support Care for their dedication and personalized care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kingswood University or Head of Millstream Wesleyan Church would be appreciated.
