Obituary of Shelly Lynn Seymour

Miss Shelly Lynn Seymour was born on November, 13, 1964 in Sussex, NB. She was the daughter of Marina Seymour Lemon and the Late Walter Seymour who passed away in 2001. At three months old the doctors told the family that "Shelly might walk and talk or she might not. Just take her home and love her and see how it turns out" Well, love her is just what they did. She was adored by her family and was undoubtedly mommy and daddy's girl. Shelly so looked up to her sisters, she was their little shadow and would want to follow them everywhere. Shelly surprised all of her doctors with her love of swimming and how well she learned to ride a bicycle. She had a deep, hearty, laugh and a strong will. She loved to go in the car; especially if McDonalds was involved. Shelly could most definitely carry a tune, often being heard singing "Silent Night", "Goodnight Irene" or "You are My Sunshine" and she loved to dance. Instead of greeting you with a hello or a how are you, Shelly's favorite way to greet those she liked was by saying "you are pretty". This bright, little angel will never be forgotten. Miss Shelly Lynn Seymour of Mill Cove passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on July 6, 2016 at the age of 51. Shelly will always be at home in the hearts of her mother, Marina of Sussex; her sisters: Sandra "Sandie" Seymour of Delta, BC, Carol Seymour and husband Tom Brent of Calgary, AB, Kathy Baskin and husband Charles of Plumweseep, NB and Angela Seymour of Truro, NS; her nieces and nephews: Casey Simpson and her children: Dallyn and Halle, Melanie Tucker and husband Leo, Kevin Brent, Anthony Brent, Andrea Baskin and Mike Nodwell and their daughter, Marina, Andrew Baskin and his daughter, Melody, Kimberley Cooke and husband Mitch, Danielle Smith and Stephany Smith and her step-brothers Brian Lemon and wife Frances of Whitby, ON, Jeffrey Lemon and wife Debbie of Fredericton, NB and Kevin Lemon and wife Elaine of Florida as well as, several extended family members. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6-8pm. A service celebrating Shelly's life will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Scott Hillier officiating. There will be a time of light refreshment with the family in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. If you are considering making a memorial donation the family has recommended St. Paul's United Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
