Obituary of Margaret Jean Brown

Margaret was born in Sussex on October 11, 1940. She was the daughter of the late James Russell and Jane Bernice (Dalling) Crowe and the wife of the late Arthur Thomas Brown, who passed away in 1991. Margaret was a kind, loving and giving person. A woman with many talents and gifts. She loved to quilt and her jams and jellies were amazing. Many gatherings of quilters were hosted over the years by Margaret in her home, and of course these gatherings were always accompanied by a hot cup of tea and a little lunch. In the warmer months, Margaret could be found tending to her vegetable garden. Her children fondly recall sneaking into the garden on more than one occasion to "pinch" some vegetables. More often than not, Margaret would catch them in the act. Margaret loved to entertain friends and family at her home. Anyone who came for a visit was never allowed to leave hungry. Some of the most special times for the family were spent gathered together around the dinner table sharing a delicious meal. Margaret was a cherished mother and grandmother. She was loved very much and will be dearly missed. Margaret is survived by her daughters: Anna Walsh and her husband Bill of Midland and Verda Linfield and her husband George of Leftbridge, AB; her son: Allan Brown and his wife Theresa of Newtown; her grandchildren: Nicholas Brown, Jessica Brown and Emily Linfield; as well as several extended family members. Mrs. Margaret Jean Brown, formerly of Apohaqui, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on August 25, 2016 at the age of 75.
