Obituary of Reta Peterson
Mrs. Reta Cecilia Peterson was born in Sussex on July 29, 1954, she was the daughter of Jean (Sprott) and the late Elmer Armstrong. Reta worked for Canada Packers right out of school, she also worked for the Atlantic Transport Training Academy; but she always said her most important and proudest job was being a stay at home mom. Her family meant the world to her and she put aside anything to help someone in need. She enjoyed to sing and play guitar; especially country and blue grass. She also loved her coffee, walking, reading, decorating the house, animals, candles, flowers and angels. Reta loved to shop, especially at the dollarstore and she was always known for her having all her Christmas shopping done by August.
Reta will live on in the hearts of her husband, Gordon Peterson; her mother, Jean Armstrong and Doug Miller of Apohaqui; her daughter, Jolene Otis and her husband Rob of Searsville; her son, Brad and his wife Karen of Dutch Valley; her brother, David Armstrong and his wife Judy of Mount Middleton; her sisters: Marlene Morrell and her husband Gil of Sussex, Donna Long and her husband Bob of Berwick, Sharon Armstrong of Sussex and Heather Mitton and Lloyd Jones of Snider Mountain; her grandchildren: Samantha Hartling, Emma Otis, Kirkland McDonald, Jenna Peterson and Dylan McDonald; her sister-in-law, Linda Long and her husband Vernon of Snider Mountain and her mother-in-law, Irene Peterson of Apohaqui; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and her cat, Bud.
