Dear Jane, Bette and all the Family.
It is hard to lose someone who is so dear, and our hearts go out to you all at this sad time. Jean was a wonderful lady, beautiful - inside and out. She will live on through her children and grandchildren and her greatness is reflected in them. Jean never seemed to get older - although we know that the mind and the body do age.
She will be remembered as one of the great ladies who were known as the "Sussex War Brides". Ladies who had the courage and spirit to leave their homeland and travel to a new land with their husbands to raise their children - not knowing if they would ever see their families again. They were courageous and helped to build the backbone of this country.
While you will miss her greatly, I hope you know she has gone to a better place, where age will not matter. She will be reunited with the War Brides and with her family. She will live eternal as memories of her live on through her children, grandchildren and many other family members as friends.

Sorry to hear of Aunt Jean's passing. She never failed to express her interest in my family and her sense of humour was always there no matter what. As I mentioned to Jane, Dad always got a chuckle of her being adamant that she was Scottish, NOT English.
