Mrs. Bertha Gertrude Garland was born in Sussex on Apri; 25, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Etta (Kyle) Richardson and wife of the late Douglas Garland. Bertha will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Joanne Almon and John Spence of Saint John, Diane Rossiter and her husband Tom of Saint John, Karen Garland and Steve Smith of New Jersey; her son: Darrin Garland of Florida; her sisters: Jeannie Foley and her husband Greg of Sussex, Hazel Evoy of Toronto, Nancy Richardson of Sussex Corner and Mary Richardson of Sussex; two brothers: Weldon and his wife Hilda of Waterford, Walter of Dutch Valley, Clarence and his wife Verna of Waterford; her grandchildren: Loretta Almon of Havelock; Bryant Almon and his wife Lynette of Picadilly, Rick Almon and his wife Amanda of Ratter Corner and Ryan Rossiter of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bertha Garland of Sussex, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on October 29, 2016 at the age of 83. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brothers; Dallas and Jim and her infant brother, George; her sister, Shirley Almon and her infant sister, Dot and by brother-in-law, Earl Evoy; her son-in-law Bryant Earl Almon and her grandson Trevor Rossiter Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). To honor Bertha's requests no visitation or service will be held.
