Alyce Parks

Obituary of Alyce Christine Parks

Alyce was born in Union Settlement on September 28, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elva (Fanjoy) Starkey and the wife of the late Ronald Parks, who passed away in 1993. Alyce grew up on the family farm picking berries and working in the gardens. After she married Ron they worked alongside each other on the farm and at their home in Waterborough. She was a dedicated member of the Waterborough Baptist Church and a life member of the Waterborough Women's Institute where she served for over 65 years; her strong faith and love of people made her Wednesday evening Bible Study group the highlight of her week. Alyce loved spending time with family and friends. Outside of her church and her time with family and friends, Alyce enjoyed playing bingo and cards; especially 45’s. Alyce was a kind soul, who loved deeply and worked hard in life. She will be missed by all those who had the chance to know her.
