Leonard Beck

Obituary of Leonard Allan Beck

Leonard was born in Sussex on May 7th, 1958, a son of the late Ernest and Donna (Barton) Beck and devoted husband to Betty (Small) Beck. Len began his career working in the woods and eventually made his way into the Irving Lumber Mill in Chipman as a lumber grader. He then planted trees for Irving and also for SNB for a number of years. From there, Len transitioned to T & M Homes in construction where he put his carpenter skills to good use building panels on site that were then transferred to particular job sites . You could definitely say that Len was a hard worker who was dependable in every way. He was always there to lend a helping hand and gave freely of his time and talents to neighbors and friends. Len was very mechanically inclined with a talent for fixing just about anything. Len also enjoyed the outdoors, especially four wheeling adventures with Betty and friends and his daughter Tammy. Tammy also fondly remembers her dad taking her hunting and teaching her how to fish. Len was a real family man who was happiest spending time with those he loved. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and could often be found with them at the brook at the back of his property, swimming or skipping rocks. They would hang out at the back yard pool or on the trampoline. Water fights broke out at every opportune moment and ``Papa`` would pile his ```little rug rats`` onto the mower and take them around the yard with him as he completed his duties. As his children and grandchildren grew, Len seemed to enjoy them more and more each passing day. He was a wonderful husband and an amazing father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
