D. Clyde Nicholl

Obituary of D. Clyde Nicholl

Mr. D. Clyde Nicholl was born in Fredericton, NB on December 30, 1952; he was the son of the late Parker and Olive (Earle) Nicholl. He was larger than life, with a vibrant and adventurous soul. His very essence was the love he had for his daughters and granddaughters. He loved helping others, whether it was a stranger on the street or helping the kids with their school projects. Clyde was an avid reader of true stories and had a hunger for learning and a thirst for grape pop.. He always had to be dabbling in something, he wasn't one to sit still. Clyde loved animals and being outdoors; whether it was bonfires, gardening, hunting, fishing, raising turkeys or even scuba diving. His dedication to his hobbies didn't stop there, he loved taxidermy, photography, Tae Kwan Do, archery, calling bingo and antique shopping. His true passion was working with his hands, whether it was building antique mustangs or woodworking; especially his famous Adirondack chairs. Clyde was many things to many people: a veteran, retired member of the RCMP, a founding member of the sharing club, Friend, Brother, Soul mate, Dad and Poppy. He will be truly missed by all of those whose lives he touched. He will live on in the hearts of the love of his life, Wanda Steeves of Sussex; his daughters: Tabitha Nicholl and Tim Johnson of Riverview, Tiffany Crealock and her husband Nathan of Quispamsis and Kaitlin Burpee and her husband Chris of Saint John; his brothers: James Nicholl and his wife Barbara, Neilson Nicholl and his wife Leona and Kenneth Nicholl and his wife Connie all of Yarmouth, NS; his sister, Sylvia Meisner and her husband Michael of Bedford, NS; his grandchildren, Leah and Kyla Crealock; the mother of Tabitha and Tiffany, Dianne Banks of Picadilly; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Clyde Nicholl passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 29, 2016, one day short of his 64th birthday. Clyde is predeceased by his best friend, Terry Craig. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-9pm.
