Obituary of Ronald Douglas Morrison

Ron Morrison was born in Sussex on August 15, 1944. He was the son of the late Charlie and Vera Morrison. Ron grew up on the family farm where he developed a love for animals, especially dogs. His favorite breed was the German Shepherd and he never went far without his faithful companion, Zoe. She shared every meal with him and was always by his side. When Ron graduated from Sussex High School he went to work for Atlantic Wholesalers and then later on started his own trucking business which he continued until recent years. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them all very much. His grandchildren were always a bright spot in his day and he looked forward to any visits with them. On Saturday, December 31, 2016,Ronald Douglas Morrison passed away at the Sussex Health Centre at the age of 72. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Murray Morrison of Sussex; his four children: Ronda Proctor and her husband Bobby of Waterford, Rona Kyle and her husband Michael of Berwick, Ronnie Morrison of Millbrook and Randy Morrison and Karen McMillan of Sussex; his eight grandchildren: Katie, Charlie, Marley, Hailey, Hudson, Ali, Logan and Hannah; his aunt Flora Keirstead and several extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by several aunts and uncles Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) with visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 pm. A service celebrating Ron's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2:00pm.
