Mr. Mark Stephen Hayes passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. He was born in Sussex, NB on November 12, 1968, a son of Virginia Hayes and the late Donald Hayes who passed away in 2008. He will live on in the hearts of his loving mother Virginia; his brothers: Joseph of Jeffries Corner, David and his wife Leslie of Moncton, NB, Peter and Ruth Vautour of Plumweseep, NB, Stephen and his wife Joyce of Calgary, AB, Paul of Fort McMurray, AB, Frank and his wife Margaret of Roachville, NB and Robert and Carol Dempster of Sussex, NB; his sisters: Mary-Ellen Webster and her husband Danny of Sussex Corner, NB, Jane Folkins and her husband Harold of Collina, NB, Julie Drummond and her husband Gary of Upperton, Carolyn LeBlanc and her husband Claude of Sussex Corner, and Gail Hayes and Kevin McLean of Sudbury, ON and many extended family members and friends. In addition to his father Don, Mark was predeceased by his brothers Phillip in 1987 and Billy in 2009. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) Honoring the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service celebrating Mark's life will be held from St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place in Wards Creek Cemetery in the Spring.
