Obituary of Ralph Neal Ellison

Mr. Ralph Neal Ellison was born in Berwick on April 15, 1926; he was the son of the late George and Charlotte (Neal) Ellison and the husband of the late Lorna Ethel Ellison who passed away in 2015. Ralph served throughout Canada during WWII in the Canadian Armed Forces as a guard for Prisoners of War. Ralph was a Cartographer for Air Survey Corporation in Virginia, and was a retiree of PCA in Sussex. He was a member of the Sussex Golf and Curling Club and had a great passion for rug hooking. Ralph will live on in the hearts of his daughters: Jody Dehart and her husband Carl of Ft. Lauderdale, Gay Lewis and her husband Jim of Reston, Virginia, Lori Ellison of Keremeos, BC, Taryn Bailey and her husband Thomas of Little Rock, AR and Dianne Ellison of Singapore; his son, Douglas of Virginia; eight grandchildren: Amy, Caroline, Sheryl, April, Eric, Jennifer, Heather and Kristie; nine great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Lorna, Ralph was predeceased by two brothers: Earl and George and by his sisters Louise and Muriel. Ralph Neal Ellison of Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Center on January 24, 2017 at the age of 90. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). In honor of Ralph's request no visitation or funeral will be held.
