Obituary of Matthew Corey Parlee
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Matthew Corey Parlee of Norton.
He will live on in the hearts of his parents Sheila Parlee and Dale Stevens of Norton; his children: Dyson, Karson, Edward and Nathan; his brother, Scott Parlee of Woodstock NB; his maternal grandmother, Agnes Parlee of Saint John; his aunts: Karen (John) Goddard and Dianne (Bill) Tabor; his uncles: Carl (Brenda) Parlee, Kenny Stevens, Lloyd Stevens and Dave Stevens; as well as several cousins and many friends.
Matthew was a kind and fun loving son, father, brother and friend. He loved his sons, his parents and his family very much and they loved him. He had a special place in his heart for his Grandmother and one of the last things he enjoyed was his grandmother’s meatloaf. He loved to be around people and would help anyone when asked. Matthew loved his tattoos and enjoyed car racing, however he never liked fishing or eating seafood. Keeping things clean, neat and tidy were always important to him.
Matthew passed away in Norton on April 25th 2017, at the age of 29.
He is predeceased by: his brother, Westley Stevens; his maternal grandfather, James Parlee; his paternal grandparents: Leonard and Greta Stevens; his aunt, Mary Amirault and by his uncles: Gary Stevens, Doug Stevens and Mike Parlee. The loss of his bother Westley and aunt Mary had a large impact on him and he missed them greatly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Tuesday May 2, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
A service celebrating Matthew’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 am.
