Obituary of Elisabeth Krause

Elisabeth Krause was born May 28, 1950 in Leninpol, Kyrgyzstan, Russia one of six children to Sergei and Margaret (Hein) Friesen and loving wife of Johann Krause.

She and Johann emigrated early in their marriage to Germany and then, 19 years ago, they made their way to Canada and settled in Plumweseep along with their youngest son.

Elisabeth was an amazing lady, kind and thoughtful, who loved her precious family very deeply. She always worked very hard at home to ensure that her husband and sons were well cared for and also contributed to the success of their vegetable and berry farm, right alongside of Johann. Elisabeth also worked outside of her home as a Walmart night stocker since the store opened. Unfortunately, due to health issues, she had to leave the store in the Fall of 2011.

Elisabeth really adored watching all the wildlife that frequented their land, especially the deer.  She found great joy in watching the herd grow and had a soft spot in her heart for the little fawns.

Elisabeth will always be ever present in the hearts of her beloved husband Johann; her sons George and his wife Natalie and their children Julian, Alina and Lea of Germany and Walter and his wife Margaret and their children Michael, Jessica and Jenna of Plumweseep; her brother Jakob Friesen and sister Lida Janzen and her husband Walter, all of Germany and several extended family members on both sides of the family.

Mrs. Elisabet Krause, of Plumweseep, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her adoring family on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Sussex Health Centre.

Along with her parents, Elisabeth was predeceased by her brothers Ivan and Peter and by her sister Margaret

Arrangements are entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home 34 Sunnyside Dr. Sussex, where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Mrs. Krause’s life in the Wallace Community Chapel.

Donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
