Obituary of Bernice Wheaton
Mrs. Bernice Wheaton was born in Petitcodiac on July 12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Leona Douthwright and was the wife of the late Leonard Wheaton who passed away in 1992.
Bernice had no regrets and if she had the opportunity she wouldn't have changed a thing. Other than the loss of her sons and her husband her life was as it she it should be. She grew up with her grandmother and loved her dearly. She loved stuffed Teddy Beans, puzzles, playing darts, writing letters, go walking, watch Ballroom dancing, the Toronto Maple Leafs, movies and country music. The Royal family was her greatest inspiration.
Bernice is survived by two sons: Fred and his wife Karen Langille of Sussex and Brent of Saint John; four daughters: Linda Justason and her husband Mike of Jemseg, Sandra MacDonald and Jeff Chritchley of Saint John, Carol Wheaton and Bill Forgrave of Saint John and Heather Chetley and her husband Jamie of Sussex; her sister Marilyn Flowers and her husband Wayne of Sussex; twenty Grandchildren: Bonnie, Brian Jr., Christina, Darren and his wife Tanya, Melissa Langille and Ricky Fudge, Joshua and his wife Natalie, Krissy Crawford and her husband Chris, Jeremy and Brandon Wheaton, Michael and Allan Justason, Austin and Ashlin Chetley, Cory, Adam, Shawn and Tyler Wilkins, Hayley MacDonald, Sandra and William Forgrave; eighteen Great Grandchildren: Connor, Lily, Sheldon, Shane, Dawson, Kenneth, Micah, Reace, Alex, Bryson, Ariana, Cohen, Keehan, Kaylee, Hellea, Madison, Chloe and Tyson; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Bernice Wheaton of Sussex, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 29, 2011 at the age of 75.
She is predeceased by her infant daughter, Karen who passed away in 1962; two sons, Kirk who passed away in 2007 and Brian who passed away in 2011; and by her brother Clifford Douthwright and her sister, Betty Douthwright.
