Obituary of Arthur Alonzo Baxter

Mr. Arthur Alonzo Baxter was born on August 10, 1950 in Sussex, NB; He was the son of George and Mabel (Long) Baxter.

Art wore many hats in his life, He drove oil truck for years and then went into the retail business, operating two gas and convenience stores and a garage. He drove for R&G, worked for the DOT for 10 years and loved driving the tour buses. He enjoyed life and loved puttering in his garage, feeding the deer and squirrels would eat out of his hand. He dearly loved talking and even though some people would attempt to hide,  but he'd track them down.

Along with his mother, Mabel Art will live on in the hearts of his wife of 42 years, Sandra (Barnett) Baxter; his daughter: Amanda Baxter; his son, Chris Baxter (Erica), his brother: Bev (Brenda) and his sister, Lois Trevan (Darryl);  his granddaughter,  Katie Marie Baxter; his sisters in law: Darlene Baxter and Joyce Baxter; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers: Carl Baxter and Russell Baxter and by his niece, Kim Friars.

Arthur Alonzo Baxter of Collina, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on October 11, 2017 at the age of 67.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 pm.  

A service celebrating Art's  life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 am.
