Obituary of Claude LeBlanc
Mr. Joseph Louis Claude LeBlanc was born in Moncton on July 15, 1958. Claude is the son of Jean-Paul LeBlanc and the Late Isabel (MacLellan) LeBlanc.
Claude was a kind hearted, loving and simple man, who always treated others the way he wanted to be treated. All he needed was his family, his work and his cottage. He was the give the shirt off his back type of man, one who would do anything to help everyone whenever he could. He was the kind of man that who, once you made friends with; you were friends for life. He especially had a soft spot for his friends from the cottage and from St. Patrick's in Moncton.
Claude attended schools in Moncton and he graduated from Fredericton High School, he later attended Moncton Community College (NBIT) and earned a degree in accounting. In 1981, Claude began work with JD Irving Ltd. in Sawmill and Woodlands division and he worked there for 36 years; loving every moment of it. He was always proud to stay one step ahead of the game.
He had an undeniable passion for sailing and anything involving his home away from home in Pointe-du-Chêne. He would spend all winter in anticipation of the time when he could return to his cottage.
Claude was a wonderful husband and father. He was so very proud of his boys and did everything he could to help them along the way. If he had a life motto, it would have definitely been Family First - Always. Whether it was teaching the boys how to do their taxes, carpentry or plumbing (but never electrical - that was a fire hazard.) or just simply spending time all together, just the four of them. That was all he needed.
