Dear Mary and family
Bob and I were so saddened to hear of your father's passing. Dan and Bob spent a lot of time together. About 2 or 3 years ago Bob and I were in Sussex. We were eating lunch with Doug and Louise Cosman. We saw your father walking up the sidewalk. Bob left and caught up with Dan. It was a lovely picture to see Dan and Bob hugging each other with tears running down their faces. I felt so bad that I didn't have a camera with me. Well, now he is with your mother and how happy he would be.He was a wonderful man and we loved him very much.

I also had many years in the RCAF and we had many discussions about our days in the branch of the service of which we were so proud . May he Rest In Peace which he so richly deserves.

My deepest condolences. We have lost a treasure of a man. One of my best days was spending an afternoon with Daniel just chatting. He was quick to make a connection when he discovered he square danced with my grandparents and of course knew their farm well. By the time I left that day, I felt like we were old friends.
