Obituary of Thomas Harry Lynch

Mr. Thomas Harry Lynch was born in Siegas, Madawaska Co., NB on February 5, 1930. He was the son of the late James and Mabel (O'Donnell) Lynch.
Tom served in the RCASC The Canadian Armed Forces from 1952-1977, and 1981-1984, Receiving the Special service medal Nato Bar, Canadian Forces Decoration with Clasp.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legions Ontario Branch # 508 and Sussex Branch # 20. He was a leader with the Boy Scouts of Canada for 25 years and was awarded the "Silver Acorn" for especially distinguished service, He was also a member and past president of both the Atlantic Region and National Region of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps Associations and a member of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church.
Tom had a passion for his garden. Everything was precise and planned. He loved his sunflowers and was always so proud of how high they got. He took great pride in teaching his children just how proper and precise a garden and its rows should be. If you were off by an eighth of an inch, you could guarantee he would point it out.
His family was Tom's greatest joy. He married the love of his life in July of 1951 and celebrated their love story with the birth of four wonderful children; six beautiful grandchildren and three glorious great grandchildren. His love for his family and his love for people will never be forgotten.
Tom will live on in the hearts of his beloved wife of 66 years, Lois (Gulliver) Lynch; his daughter, Elaine Lynch of Sussex; his sons: Gary Lynch and his wife Linda of Duncan, BC and Neil Lynch and his wife Vera of Nanaimo, BC; his sisters: Lena Denton and her husband Douglas of Minto and Cecile LeBlanc of New Maryland; his daughter-in-law, Hope Lynch of Rusagonis; his grandchildren: Cory Lynch of Rusagonis, Scott Lynch of Rusagonis, Kristin McArthur and Jason Dolan of Calgary, Adam Lynch and his wife Nicole of Saint John, Thomas Lynch of Nanaimo and Jacob Lynch of Nanaimo; his great grandchildren: Alika, Brody and Breah; as well as several nieces and nephews.
