Obituary of Ronnie Moss

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ronald "Ronnie" Edward Moss of Sussex Corner, announce his death which occurred at the Sussex Health Center on February 19, 2018 at the age of 87.

He was born on August 15, 1930 at Mill Cove, NB; Son of the late Walter and Stella (Ferris) Moss.

Ron grew up in a very large family where he learned at an early age to open his heart and care for everyone. He started working as a young boy to help support his siblings. He continued to work tirelessly to make a home for his beloved wife of 60 years and their six children.

Ron was instrumental in the construction of the Reformed Baptist Church (which is now knows as the Evangel Assembly) on Main St in Sussex. He worked for the Town of Sussex for more than 30 years and ran Ron's Taxi in his later years.

He loved his church and children, so he volunteered his time driving a Sunday School bus.

He was an avid sports fan - his favorite teams were the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Ronnie's laugh was recognizable and was heard wherever he was...his sense of a humour will be missed.

Ronnie is survived by his sons: Paul of Sussex, Stephen and his wife Heather of Hillsborough and Andrew and his wife Shelly of Sussex; his daughters: Suzanne Noddin and her husband Paul of Spruce Grove and Theresa Marriott and her husband Dave of Sussex; his daughter-in-law, Elaine Riedel and her husband Chris of Maine; his grandchildren: Jeremy (Sarah), Jason, Jillian, Dylan (Kerilynn and her son, Hunter), Josh (Cassie), Sheridan (Brandi), Nick (Amanda), Chris and Jonathan (Jessica); his great grandchildren: Danica, Brendan, Brody, Evi, Dominick, Chance, Jaxon and Griffin; his brothers: Chester and his wife Jean and Everett and his wife Audrey; his sisters: Dorothy White and her husband Orville, Muriel White and her husband Phillip, Barb Bond, Leta Kennedy and her husband Gordon, Marlene Moss and Diane Vail and her husband David; his sister-in-law, Mary Jack; his brother-in-law, Robert Clark; his special nieces: Carol and Sandra; Papa's girls: Dianne and BJ; his careworker who was more like family, Angie Spellman; his best friend, George Bickford; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by the love of his life, Thelma (Clark) Moss; his beloved son, David; his granddaughters: Ashton and Kyla; his great granddaughter, Lidea; his brothers: Allan and Harold Moss; his sisters: Lena Vail, Cora Clark, Violet Long, Marie Ferris and Bertha Dejeet.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8pm.

A Celebration of Ronnie's life will be held from Sussex Wesleyan Church on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 3:00pm with Pastor Don Ingersoll officiating.

There will be a time of fellowship with the family immediately following the service in the gymnasium. The interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery, Riverbank, NB in the spring.

If you are considering making a memorial donation the family has recommended the Sussex Wesleyan Church or to the organization of the donor's choice.
