Obituary of Ida Brooks
Mrs. Ida Mae Brooks was born in Sussex on October 1, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Otty and Edna (Colpitts) Smith and was the wife of the late Oris Walter Brooks who passed away in 1980.
Ida was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church.
Ida will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Barb Williams and her husband Claude of Sussex; two sons: Walter and his wife Freda of Fredericton and Jack and his wife Pat of Baxters Corner; 9 grandchildren: Cathy Hoffman and her husband Stephen of Pennsylvania, Karen Duncan of Fredericton, Michael Brooks and his wife Eleanor of Rothesay, Kimberly Baxter and her husband David of Baxter's Corner, Christopher Brooks and his wife Michelle of Bridgewater, NS, Shelly Moss and her husband Andrew , Danny Williams and his wife Jacquie, Sean Williams and his wife Lori and Samantha Williams, all of Sussex;12 great grandchildren: Laura, Sarah, Jessica, Adam Christopher, Andrew, Bradley, Venessa, Natalie, Colby, Dylan, Mckelan, her great great granddaughter Riley, her sister: Dorothy Leach of Sussex, her sister-in-law: Wilma Smith of Dutch Valley; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ida was predeacsed by four brothers: Clinton, Donald, Ralph and Everett; her sister; Viola Buchanan and two great granddaughters Ashton and Kyla Moss;
Mrs. Ida Brooks of Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Center on January 13, 2011 at the age of 92.
