Obituary of Lois Doreen Lynch

The family invites you to join them in laying their parents to rest on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 1pm in Evergreen Memorial Park, Sussex, NB

Lois Doreen Lynch was born on December 9, 1930 in Parlee Brook, NB; she was the daughter of the late Ira and Margaret (McFarlane) Gulliver.

She was a proud member of the Sussex Red Hat Society, the Kings East Women's Liberal Association, the Penobsquis Women's Institute and St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church.

Lois had a big heart and was one of the most selfless people you would ever meet. She always wanted to help anyone she could and would give the shirt of her back. She was always so proud to give back to her community and volunteered for many organizations in the area; as well as being a leader for the Boy Scouts of Canada for 15 years.

Family and Tom were Lois' greatest joy.  She married the love of her life in July of 1951 and celebrated their love story with the birth of four wonderful children; six beautiful grandchildren and three glorious great grandchildren. They were a match made in heaven and the epitome of soul mates.  On January 16, 2018, Tom passed away peacefully; longing for the love of her life, she would join him six short weeks later.

Lois will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Elaine Lynch of Sussex; her sons: Gary Lynch and his wife Linda of Duncan, BC and Neil Lynch and his wife Vera of Nanaimo, BC; her sister, Audrey Cook; her daughter-in-law, Hope Lynch of Rusagonis; her grandchildren: Cory Lynch of Rusagonis, Scott Lynch of Rusagonis, Kristin McArthur and Jason Dolan of Calgary, Adam Lynch and his wife Nicole of Saint John, Thomas Lynch of Nanaimo and Jacob Lynch of Nanaimo; her great grandchildren: Allika, Brody and Breah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lois Lynch of Sussex Corner passed away at the Sussex Health Center on March 1, 2018 at the age of 87.

She has gone to join the love of her life, Tom; her son, David; her infant daughter, Mary; her brothers: Douglas and Ira Gulliver; her brother-in-law, Wallace Cook and by her nieces: Heather and Marjorie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Francis Xavier RC Church on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11:00am.

If you are considering making a memorial donation the family has requested the COPD Canada or the charity of your choice.
