Ellen!!! Your love was so true and so strong for your family, what a great legacy the strength and depth of your love!
Donnie you were the love of her life, so many of our talks revolved around you and how much she loved you, how you first met, stories from early days driving in the truck with you, her admiration for how hard you worked, and her always saying you were the only man for her! Her eyes truly lit up when she spoke about you! You’re ambition to make Ellen’s last few years truly about what could make her happy are very honourable and show the strength of a true hearted man that loved his woman!
Ben, there has never been a son so loved by his mother! She was always smiling when she was telling stories or talking about you, even her tales of how colicky and fussy you were as a baby ended in how worth it was to have such a wonderful son! Proud is an understatement for how she felt about not only your accomplishments (she was so proud of your career, following in your Dad’s footsteps) but more importantly she was most proud that you had turned into a good hearted and loving man, you really were the center of her soul, so much so that she inked you on to her wrist to see you all the time!
Heather, thank you for your selflessness in helping to take care of Ellen, it truly is one of life’s most difficult things to help take care of those closest to the person you love the most! Ellen expressed how much she loved you and truly found peace knowing her son had found someone to share his life with!
And finally Ellen, thank you for being tiger ice cream in a world of vanilla, thank you for not backing down when you believed in something, thank you for speaking your mind! In a world of followers, you made your own trail and where unapologetic and all at the same time a most loving soul!
I’m sorry my friend that at the end I didn’t have the courage to see you, I wanted to remember you from the best of times! I know you will be at peace though because that was your symbol!
Love you always, Audrey

Remember the Christmas at our house? Ellen playing under the table with Cailey and Sarah - she had just as much fun as the girls! Ben showing up and surprising everyone - lots and lots of laughs that week. It was so great to have the Snodgrass clan together for that Christmas.
