Stella our deepest condolences to you. We loved Joe and you two were the best campground neighbors. We had good times back then. Two things come to mind about Joe... We asked him to look after our beloved Blue dog for a couple of days and he embraced that job and Blue probably never had so much attention in her life in one weekend. I remember when we got back to the campground Joe told us there had been a thunder and lightening storm one evening and Blue was terrified. Joe went to make sure she was ok and he couldn't find her, he looked and looked and was so worried. When he did find her, of course, she was safe and sound but she had wedged her 80 pound self nearly under the bed and he couldn't see her. I'm sure he had a tough time getting her out of there. The other thing that brings back such great memories... Joe would often bring me a little bowl of fresh fruit in the morning when I was sitting out on the swing with my coffee. Over the years since you left the campground I've always cherished these memories of Joe... Take Care Stella Love Nancy and Kevin

So sorry to hear of Joe's (Uptie) passing. I felt like I was losing a brother all over again. I remember all the good tines he and my brother, Jerry had in their younger years. My mother always felt like she had an extra son and loved Joe and all the Keays' as if they were her own. He definitely made a good choice to marry Stella who was always at his side good times and bad.

Mike Shea and I were just reminiscing this Friday about the curling and Joe and I playing hockey in the beer oops ( Commercial Hockey League) here in Fredericton. Their is nothing but sweet thoughts of Joe, Joe was so thoughtful and would due above and beyond for a friend. We knew Joe since the 70's, he was unique, man of few words but when Joe had a story everyone would stop and listen. When Joe and Stella needed a plumber Joe would always SAY "CALL PUDGE" Joe and Stella wonderful love story, one we should all try to live up to.
