Joanne Miller

Obituary of Joanne Miller

Joanne Miller was born in  Massachusetts, USA, on January 12, 1961 to Francis and Florida (Breau) Richard. In 1968 at the age of 7 she moved to Canada. Ten years later she would welcome her first daughter, Jennifer, followed by her daughter, Shondra in 1992. Joanne loved her girls and could not have been more excited as each of her beautiful granddaughters arrived.

Joanne had a passion for the outdoors. Breathing in the fresh air and being around nature sparked something inside her that made her who she was. She especially loved gardening and camping. She loved to travel and be near the ocean; having spent time in Florida, Dominican Republic and Jamaica.

She was an amazing cook and loved to experiment with different recipes and creations - but her mustard pickles were the best.

She had big dreams and was a very colourful person with loads of personality. Her smile was contagious and when she loved she did it with all her heart. She will be missed by all of those who's lives she touched.

Joanne will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Jennifer Jackson and her husband Ryan of Mount Hebron and Shondra Miller of Head of Millstream; her grandchildren: Emma, Saige and Jade; her brothers: Francois Richard Jr. and his wife Sarah, Norman Richard and Ronald Richard and his wife Sheryl; her sisters: Rachel Niles, Doreen Judge and her husband Mark and Marie Anne Boucher; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).  A Celebration of Joanne's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00am.
