I am so happy that you both were brave enough to meet, allowing love to bloom, and then make the courageous decision to move to another country, learn a new language and embrace a different way of living. You held each other up, when things looked bad, and came through it with more love for each other.
It saddens me that your love story has come to an end, and I am wishing Jaime the peace and rest his body deserves. He fought hard and long, with you close by. I admire your amazing dedication.

Dear Jaime,
I got to meet you a few times and you opened up your home to me, a stranger at first. I have such fine memories of walks, dinners, breakfasts and good ole Danish "hygge".
I have heard the story of how you and Norma fell for each other and how you two made a life together at the edge of the forrest. Just like a fairytale. How I wish you could have made it back to Canada to live the life that you and Norma had planned.
