Obituary of Francis John Payne

Mr. Francis John Payne was born in Hillsdale on April 30, 1946; He was the son of Doris (Adair) Payne and the late John Payne.

Frank had many interests and was never idle.  He loved to go fishing and what some would call hunting, but most would call chasing deer because he could never hit a thing.

He enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling especially if watching Gloria garden from the safety of his four wheeler counted as helping.

He just wanted to be outdoors or going for drives. He really enjoyed the drives if they ended with him talking and laughing with the guys in the garage at Warren's. He also enjoyed watching Nascar.

Frank was a jack of all trades whether it was driving truck, doing carpentry or working on his hobby farm; he was always dabbling in something.

Frank will live on in the hearts of his loving wife of 49 years, Gloria (McLaughlin) Payne; their children: Heather Allaby and her husband Troy of Upham and Jeff Payne and his wife Jane of Picadilly; their grandchildren: Jordan Allaby and her fiancée Andrew Richard, Kayla Allaby, Gracein Payne and Lucas Payne; his mother, Doris Payne of Sussex;  his siblings: Shirley Teakles and her husband David "Junior" of Southfield, Valarie Goddard and her husband Carl of Norton; James Payne  and his wife Ethel of Hillsdale and Edward Payne of Winnipeg; his brother-in-law, Bob McLaughlin of Drurys Cove; a special niece, Carmen Meehan and her husband Lloyd of Jeffries Corner; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Francis John Payne of Hillsdale passed away with his family at his side at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 31, 2018 at the age of 71.

He was predeceased by his father, John; his sister, Judy McLaughlin and his sister-in-law, Bonnie Payne.
