Obituary of James Bryant Robinson

James Bryant Robinson was born on December 14, 1956 in Sussex, NB. He was the second child of four to the late Noble and Evelyn (Barton) Robinson.

Jimmy's father, Noble Robinson, worked in the army; he drove truck and plowed roads. His mother, Evelyn Robinson, worked for Laundry of Sussex and they both helped out around the family farm.

He worked many places throughout his life, the first being with the Town of Sussex. When this job didn't work out, with the help of a friend, Jim moved onto his second job with Glendale Mobile Holmes. He worked there for many years before going to work for his family, on the farm. Jim also ran heavy equipment in the woods for his family. After a while, he moved on to driving truck for Fanjoy's Transport, where he travelled all over the states and across Canada and he loved the view.

After lots of hard work, Jimmy pursued his dreams to own and operate a garage. He did this with a partner in Wards Creek; where he repaired and sold over hundred of cars. He loved to be around cars, whether it was driving them or fixing them up. It was a great passion which inspired him to own and operate his own garage. His favorite car that he owned would always be his 1965 convertible. When you asked Jimmy what the best part was, he would reply "I loved being my own boss. That had to be the best part."

Jimmy really enjoyed his time spent vacationing throughout the Atlantic provinces, occasionally drinking beer and cruising around in one of his many cars.

Jimmy is survived by his special friend, Leanne Robichaud of Saint John; his sister, Arlene Beach of Sussex Corner; his brothers: David Robinson and his wife Coleen of Wards Creek, Wayne Robinson and his wife Della of Wards Creek; his aunts: Elsie Robinson of Lower Cove and Emily Gilbert and her husband George of Berwick; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

It is with great sadness that the family of James Bryant Robinson of Sussex, NB, formerly of Wards Creek announces his death which occurred on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Sussex Health Centre at the age of 61.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 5 to 8pm.
