Obituary of Norman Austin Pollock

On the 25th of May we said our goodbyes to Norman Austin Pollock.

Norman was incredibly proud of his wife Lorraine (Tabor) and his children Tony (Kim), Deannie (Dean), Fiona, Alaina (Rick) & Rob (Holly) as well as grandchildren Rhodann (Keith), Sarah (Rae), Jonah, Daynah (Kyle), Jaydah (Chandler), Lauren, Joe as well as Great-Grandchildren Alyssa, Peter, Noah & Waylon.  He took every opportunity to tell them how much he loved them.  

He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humour which would either make you laugh, cringe, or blush from embarrassment.  

Norm’s magnetic personality shone through in every aspect of his life attracting many lifelong friends.  From his career in sales, to his service as a member of the Legion and the Lions Club and to every corner of the world during his travels to Canberra Australia, Cancun, and many adventures with Lorraine throughout Europe.  

Norm was born in December 1942 in Poodiac to parents, Alice Marie (Allaby) and Albert Austin Pollock and was the last surviving sibling.  In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his Mother-In-Law June Tabor, Step-Brother Murray Pickett and Step Sisters Gwendlyn and Vera.  Sisters-In-Law Stella Keays, Christina (Dennis) Graves & Linda Tabor and Brother-In-Law Walter Tabor as well as 32 special nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by seven sisters & one brother and their spouses, two half sisters & a half brother and their spouses as well as seven step brothers & sisters, his father-in-law, Reginald Tabor; his Brother-In-Law and close friend Joe Keays as well as four nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm.

The Sussex Lions Club will hold a tribute on Tuesday evening at 5:45.

A Celebration of Norm’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00am.
