Murray Morrison

Obituary of Murray Edward Morrison

Murray Morrison was born in Pearsonville on September 23, 1937.  He was the son of the late Charlie & Vera Morrison of Sussex.

Murray developed a great interest in the family farm at an early age.  He devoted a lot of his time to doing chores and helping to deliver milk and eggs.  He also had a great love for all animals that he carried with him his whole life.  His most recent companion was his faithful German Shepherd named Zoey who never left his side.

Murray loved antiques.  He enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets and quite often came home with beautiful old things that sparked his interest. If that item needed a little repair he knew exactly what to do to make it look good as new.  He could fix anything and would spend hours if necessary to make an old treasure look perfect.

Murray loved his family and devoted his whole life to them.  He was a huge part of their lives.  He always gave everything he had to be good to everyone.  His family will never forget all the fun times with him, his wonderful laugh and his genuine interest in everything that was going on in their lives.  He was loved and appreciated more than words can say.

Murray will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews:  Ronda Proctor and her husband Bobby of Waterford, Rona Kyle and her husband Michael of Berwick, Ronnie Morrison of Sussex Corner, Randy Morrison & Karen McMillan of Sussex; his eight great nieces and nephews: Katie, Charlie, Marley, Hailey, Hudson, Ali, Logan and Hannah and several
extended family members.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Ron Morrison; his sister-in-law, Gloria Morrison and several aunts and uncles.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex with visitation on Thursday, June 7 from 6 to 8 pm.  A service celebrating Murray's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 am.  Interment in Titus Hill Cemetery.
