Obituary of Gordon Frederick McArthur

It is with sadness that the family of Gordon Frederick McArthur, age 84, husband of Florence (Chambers) McArthur, announces his death which occurred on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Sussex Health Centre.  He was born on February 17, 1934, in Sussex, NB, a son of the late Harry and Jane (Carr) McArthur.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence; daughter Linda McArthur (Gary Lynch) of Duncan, BC; granddaughter Kristin McArthur (Jason Nolan) of Calgary, AB; great-granddaughter (Allika Nolan); brother Harry Carr of Hampton, NB; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Ann McArthur; brothers Albert McArthur, Johnny McArthur; sisters Mildred Nagle and Alice Patterson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex with visitation on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.  A service celebrating Gordon's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:00 am.  Interment will be held in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Sussex Corner.
