Mr. Robert “Bob” Bannister was born in Moncton, NB on August 18, 1951; he was the son of Megan (Legg)) Bannister and the late Leonard Bannister
Bob had a passion for vehicles. He began his love affair with cars at the young age of 16 and loved every minute of doing bodywork. Everything was precise and planned. Even in his last days he was working away on his motor home in preparation for the trip he had planned to take this summer. In his younger years, he loved to go hunting and fishing, but nothing could ever compare to his time spent working on vehicles.
He was a hardworking and salt of the earth man, stubborn to a fault and had such a kind heart. He would give the shirt off his back or lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
His family was Bob’s greatest joy. He loved to sit with his grandchildren and just take them all in. He loved to tease and torment and dreaded the many trips the kids made home with new tattoos. He was a Son, a Dad, a Gramp, a Brother and a Friend and will be dearly missed.
He will live on in the hearts of his son, Adam Bannister and Tabatha Hayes; his daughter, Kelsey Bannister and Steven Asselstine; his mother, Megan Bannister; his brothers: Gerald (Cathy), Alan (Gloria) and Gary; his sister, Sharon-Ann Bannister-Roberts (Brian); the mother of his children, Elaine; his son-in-law, Eric Aubin; his grandchildren: Gage, Rylee, Dekyn, Hunter, Brooke, Archer and Rhyver; as well as several nieces and nephews.
