Obituary of Cameron Palmer

Mr. Cameron Winslow Palmer was born in Carrolls Crossing Miramichi on September 17, 1923. He was the son of the late Hallie and Francis (Braun) Palmer.

Cameron saw the love of his life for the first time at the station in Sussex. He always said he knew the moment he saw her sitting on the bus that he would marry her. On July 21, 1951 they continued their love story as husband and wife and would spend 67 more wonderful years together. Their love only growing stronger as they welcomed their three children, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was a simple man whose family and faith always came first.

He had a passion for antique cars and could usually be found tinkering in the garage when he had not much else to do. Cameron loved to go fishing and adored picking blueberries and fiddle heads.

Cameron will live on in the hearts of the love of his life, Eva (Thorne) Palmer; their children: Joanne Tinus and her husband Tony, Elaine Nicholson and Gary Palmer and his wife Cindy all of Ontario; his brother, Hilton Brawn and his wife Vera of Miramichi; his sister-in-law, Rowena Braun of Miramichi; his grandchildren: Tim, Mark (Shirley), Lisa (Jamie), Evan (Kirsten), Cory, Drew and Alyssa; his great grandchildren: Joanna, Samantha, Sara, Griffin, Ever, Julia and Ethan; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mr. Cameron Winslow Palmer of Wickham passed away at the Great Oaks Special Care Home with his loving wife, Eva at his side on July 18, 2018 at the age of 94.

He is predeceased by his siblings: Victor, Ashley, Ensley, Luther "Buck", Byron, Philip Braun and Greta Jilks; his grandson, Jeffrey and his great grandson, Devon.
