Douglas Brown

Obituary of Douglas Murray Brown

Doug was born in Sussex on December 13, 1965; he was the son of the late Reginald and Jean (Armstrong) Brown.

He was a hardworking man. Private, kind, funny and strong and would give anyone the shirt off his back. All you had to do was call and he would be there to help anyone in need. He had a huge heart and boy did he know how to love... he loved strong and he loved deep.

Doug was an outdoorsman at heart and had a real green thumb; especially if it involved being on the four-wheeler or helping his brother. He was a family man first and foremost and loved spending time with his nieces and nephews whom were more like his children and he longed for the times that he spent having tea with his parents.

Doug will live on in the hearts of his loving wife Rosemary (Ross); his mother and father-in-law: David and Phyllis Ross of Mount Middleton; his brother, Glenn Brown and his wife Ruth of McGreggor Brook; his special sister, Sheila Drury and her daughter, Joelle Toomey and her husband Kéighan and their children Jackson and Rayah; his cousin, Barbara Dionne and her husband Jean Claude of Campbellton; his Uncle, Richard Brown of Parleeville; his brother-in-law, Bradley Ross and his wife Cathy of Mount Middleton; his sisters-in-law: Jeanette Greenham and her husband Mervin of NFLD, Shelley Chown and her husband Myles of Sussex, Karen Jenkins and her husband Stephen of Sussex and Michelle Hayes and her husband Brad of Millstream; his nieces and nephews: Brent Ross, Meghan Beach and her husband Corey, Miranda Ross, Bailey Greenham, Myles Chown, Bridget Chown, Dexter Jenkins, Jonathan Jenkins, Hilary Jenkins, Spencer Hayes, Kennedi Hayes, Scott Brown and his wife Lindy;  Rachel Brown and Justin Carll; Kelly McLellan and her husband Al and Jenna Munro and Tyler Pearson; his great nieces and nephews: Chloe, Kayden, Lincoln, Jack, Hannah, Clayton, Makayla, Ty and Aleigha; as well as several extended family members.

Mr. Douglas Murray Brown of McGregor Brook passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 15, 2018 at the age of 52.

He is predeceased by his parents and by his brother, Aubrey.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
