Obituary of Perley Dean Crouse

Mr. Perley Dean Crouse was born in MacKenzie Corner, Woodstock, NB on December 2, 1940. He was the son of the late Roy and Ida (Rockwell) Crouse.

Perley was a very selfless man with a stubborn streak. He had a huge heart and was always wanting to give of himself and ask for nothing in return. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He just wanted to be helpful and show his love and support for all those that were important to him.

Family was very important to Perley. He always wanted to be the first - He wanted to be the one to buy the nieces and nephews their first bikes, and their kids first bikes and on the rare occasion even their friends. It did not matter the weather, he walked Angie's boys to the bus everyday for 12 years. Like clock work he would show up on the doorstep ready to take them and this was quite a feat being that he did not believe in Daylight Savings time, needless to say sometimes he was a little early.

He loved to be outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing or especially hiking. Perley would hike for miles at a time and loved to be on the go. He was very creative, had a great imagination and could build or fix anything.

Perley was a wonderful man who has touched so many and will live on in our memories forever.

Perley will live on in the hearts of his special niece, Angie Webb  and her husband Jason of Poodiac; his siblings: Alice Welch of BC, Dallas Legacy and husband Clarence of Saint John, Shirley Grant of Hampton, Joyce Ricketts of Sussex, Lettie Crouse of Bloomfield, Diane King and her husband Michael of Welsford/Saint John, Carl Crouse and his wife Geraldine of Poodiac and Gary Crouse and Bonnie Blinn of Poodiac; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mr. Perley Dean Crouse of Poodiac passed away at the Sussex Health Center on September 16, 2018 at the age of 77.

He is predeceased by his siblings: Ray, Roy Jr., and Robert Crouse, Jean Green and by his infant siblings Linda and William.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A service celebrating Perley's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2:00pm.
