Obituary of Dale Murray

It is with sadness that the family of Dale Stuart Murray, age 70, announces his death which occurred on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  He was born on May 30, 1948, in Sussex, NB, a son of the late Stuart and Jean (Mitchell) Murray.

 

Dale graduated form Sussex High School and Nova Scotia Agriculture College.  He went on to work with Canada Packers, then for McGill in Montreal as a Senior Lab Technician.  For a number of years he worked at Denison Mines, after their closure he relocated to Saint John to work with Tapps.

 

He loved to hunt, fish and spend time in natures beauty.  He was a fan of sports, loved to listen to music and he could never have enough chocolate.  Grand Manan was his favorite place to visit.

 

His greatest love was for his children, grandchildren and extended family.  

 

He is survived by his son Brett (Melissa) Murray of Jordan Mountain, NB; daughter Neva (Zane) Crandlemere of Ratter Corner, NB; grandchildren Carter, Zack, Garrett, Autumn, Isla; brother Jim (Wendy) Murray; sisters Bette (John) Fraser, Jane (Fred) McLaughlin; mother of his children Lynda (Murray) Erb; nieces and nephews: Stephanie (Sean), Rob, Mitchell, Corey, Madison, Jacob, Ashley; great-nephews Issac and Evan.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his niece Lindsey Titcomb; nephews Marcus and Philip McLaughlin.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 4 to 7pm.  A Funeral Service celebrating Dale’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:00am.
