Obituary of Dorothy Doncaster

Dorothy Doncaster was born in Millbrook on May 7, 1919; she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jessie (Ore) Proctor and the wife of the late Kenneth Noble Doncaster who passed away January 26, 1992. Dorothy married Ken Doncaster July 23rd, 1938. When WWII broke out Ken went to war, their oldest daughter was 5 months old and when he returned she was 6 years old. Dorothy worked very hard while he was gone, working at Barbour Foods and many other places. She was able to make enough money to buy the home at Sussex Corner as she and her daughter had been living with Ken's parents. Dorothy was very proud of her home and especially her flower beds. She was very independent and if something needed repaired; she would hire someone herself and have it taken care of. She loved her family and especially her two grandchildren. She was very proud of their accomplishments.
