Dayle Baskin

Obituary of Dayle Baskin

Mr. Dayle Baskin was born in Sussex on October 4, 1954. He was the son of the late Murray Baskin and Shirley (Gregg) Patterson .

Dayle loved bowling. He had a passion for the outdoors. He loved to feel the sun on his face and experience all that nature had to offer. He loved to go fishing and to go for walks and no matter what he was doing he always had Tristan as his sidekick.

He was a hard worker and loved tinkering - there was absolutely nothing that he couldn't fix, even if he had to use duct tape. He was anaward winning man when it came to making cheese and butter and he loved his work. He worked for 20 years with Sussex Cheese and Butter, moving on to work for Dairytown and then to Baxter's Foods for 28 years. He spent three years with Dunster's and Sussex Janitorial until he was no longer able to work.

Dayle loved his family and spending time with his grandkids was his favourite pastime. He was a give the shirt of his back type of man, he hated to see people in need and was always helping others.

He will live on in the hearts of his daughters: Sabrina Teehan and her husband Arron of Waterford and Ashley Barrieau and her husband Jamie of Trenton, ON; his grandchildren: Tristan and Alex Teehan and Bellamie and Brea Barrieau; his siblings: Jean Logan of Smiths Creek, Shirley Mercer of Smiths Creek, Eva Douthwright and her husband Richard of Ontario, Curtis of Sussex, Harvey and his wife Linda of Plumweseep, Charles and his wife Kathy of Plumweseep, Harold and his wife Sheena of Smiths Creek, Christopher of Plumweseep and David and his wife Joy of Belleisle; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dayle Baskin of Mill Cove, formerly of Plumweseep passed away at the Mill Cove Nursing Home on September 29, 2018 at the age of 63.

He is predeceased by his father, Murray Baskin and by his mother and Step father, Shirley and Allan Patterson.
