Obituary of James Eldridge Arnold

Mr. James Eldridge Arnold was born in Sussex on September 15, 1954. He was the son of Everett and Florence (Robinson) Arnold.

Jim loved the simple things in life:  He was first and foremost a family man and loved to be surrounded by his family, whether it was at a family gathering, dinner or just quality time with his grandkids or hard work on his farm and times spent in the woods, tinkering and puttering around - even making maple syrup. Jim was a salt of the earth type man, Nature was his second love, only to his family and he just could not get enough. There was nothing about Nature that he could not find beauty in. The sound of the rain on the steel roof, the sound of wind in the trees or just watching them as they moved.

He was a kind hearted, smart witted man with a heart of gold and he loved to tease. He loved to be surrounded by people and he was the best of the best when it came to talking or sharing stories. He enjoyed his trips on the four wheeler and his trips to Tim Horton's where he could be found sipping his small one and one. He will be dearly missed by all the people who's lives he's touched.

He will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Carol (Sherwood) Arnold; their children: Aaron Arnold of Alberta and Colby Arnold and his wife Kate of New Line; his grandchildren: Sophia, Kristina, Brett. Sawyer and Blair; his brother, Steven Arnold of Nackawic; his sister, Glenna Lyon and her husband Keith of Quispamsis; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. James Eldridge Arnold of New Line passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital  on November 11, 2018 at the age of 64.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Ross and by his sister, Lois.
