Obituary of Rose Pearson

The sun has set for the last time here on earth in the life of Roselyn Pearson, which occurred on November 19, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Saint John, at age 87.   She was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Helen (Ross) Banks.  Our family’s hearts are filled with much sorrow and sadness but also happiness as she is with her other family and is not suffering.

Growing up with Rose as my mom was so special.  She always had a hot home cooked meal on the table and she made sure every occasion was a happy one with her yummy baking and a knack to have the best presents ever.

Rose was active in the community by singing in the church choir, belonging to the Pythian Sisters and helping to deliver meals on wheels when she was able.  She also worked on Wednesday’s for the auction at the co-op.  She also did a lot of quilting with the ACW.

Rose leaves behind her daughter, Patricia Duncan; her sister-in-law, Irma Banks; nephews: Bill, Lloyd, Ross and Blair; nieces: Tanis, Shawnee, Helen, Diane, Donna, Gloria, Cindy, Sandra and Susan; special daughters: Ruth Ann Galloway and Judy Milner.  Rose was predeceased by her husband, David Pearson; siblings: Ross Banks, Charlie Banks, Gertrude Cossaboom and Irene Watters.

Special thank you to Ruth Ann Galloway, Judy Milner, Brent and Annette Springer for all their special help during this difficult time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home (506-433-1176), 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB where visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 1 to 3PM and 6 to 8PM.  The funeral service will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30AM with The Rev. Canon Tom Stradwick presiding.
