To the Durling family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I never had the privilege of meeting Dan but I know he raised a fantastic daughter Tammy. I have heard many stories from Tammy and Jocelyn of Dan. Tammy , Jocelyn and the girls always looked forward to heading east for family visits and loved it when he and Barb came to Ontario. Dan meant the world to Tammy and knows how fortunate she was to have had such a wonderful dad. I know he will be greatly missed.

I am in complete shock and deeply saddened to read this! I have spent many years hanging out at rinks all over NB with Dan, always giving him a copy of our teams roster for his pocket so he'd always know the players names and numbers. This makes me very sad, we had a great season last year watching Patrick and my son Brandon play their last year of hockey and I will truly miss seeing his smile. Was hoping to meet up with Dan in the near future trough a recent message to you from another retiree.
Needless to say, we are shocked and saddened by Dan's passing and send our most sincere condolences to you all.
I have so many fond memories of our time in Grand Falls together, working with Dan and the many personal gatherings we enjoyed.
Dan was by far the most knowledgeable, professional and caring police officer I had the good fortune to work with throughout my 38 years of service, and his total support for me in anything I was involved with never wavered.
As you wrote in your eulogy that Dan would want you to enjoy Christmas, I know he will be watching all of you at Christmas and we will think of him also. I will raise a glass to him.

Chris and I are so saddened to hear of Dan’s passing. He was such a kind man and we were lucky to have been able to meet him. He had a huge, kind heart. We will never forget how much he loved spending time with his grandsons. They were his pride and joy. Sending our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
