Obituary of Arnold Foster Graves Bryant

Mr. Arnold Foster Graves Bryant was born in Norton, NB, on July 2, 1942.  He was the son of the late Charles and Nita (Graves) Bryant.

Arnie graduated from Sussex High School in 1961 and took over Bryant's Express, his father's trucking company. He had a passion for his work and loved to stay busy. After 15 years, he made a career change and went to work for Barbours as their Traffic Manager for 8 years. After a short stint with NB Housing, Arnie drove school bus and then did custodial work at Sussex Regional High School until his retirement.

During Arnie's years driving bus, he would meet and fall in love with Anne Monahan and, in May of 1997, they would marry and spend 21 wonderful years together. He loved his family and was proud of each of them. He had a passion for travelling, even if it was for the restaurants and shopping.

Arnie loved walking and exercising.  Whether it was hockey or playing tennis in his early years or watching games in his later years, he had a great love for sports. Arnie was also an avid reader, especially Reader's Digest, and he loved his country music, particularly his vintage record collection.

Arnie will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Anne (Monahan) Bryant of Sussex; his children: Russell Bryant (Shelly) of Hampton, Kynda Bryant of Chipman, Kenny Wright (Ella), Tony Monahan (Justine) all of Ontario and Kari Britt (Corey) of Rothesay; his sister, Mary Ellen Gregg of Truro; his grandchildren: Alisha, Cale, Seth, Michael, Jonathan, Anasticia, Kallista, Emily, Landon, Morgan, Hunter and Nathan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Arnold Bryant of Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on December 26, 2018, at the age of 76.

Along with his parents, Arnie was predeceased by his siblings: Junior, Murray and Beverly, and by his first wife, Alice (Myers) Bryant, who passed away in 1993.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018, from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A celebration of Arnie's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on December 29, 2018, at 11:00am.
