Obituary of Carl Edward Spellman
Mr. Carl Edward Spellman was born in Saint John on December 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Mildred and George Peterson.
In 1964, Carl married the love of his life, Carol Forward and together they would build a wonderful life with three beautiful children. They would get the chance to celebrate their love story for 36 amazing years. Carl's heart was broken on November 11, 2000 when Carol passed away.
Carl was a postmaster for Canada Post for many years but his favorite place to be was the Hilltop Campground in Robbinston, Maine. He loved to sit and have a beer with his campground family, drive around in his golf cart and spend time tending the garden they put in just for him.
He loved to talk on the phone, so much that sometimes he would call you twice. Carl was independent, stubborn and loved to be the centre of things.
He will be very much missed by all who ever met him. His heart is now whole again - reunited with his soulmate.
Carl will live on in the hearts of his daughters: Gail Keirstead and her husband Kevin Miller and Julie Daley and her husband Jaimie; his son, Rick Spellman and his wife Angie; his siblings: Mary Wright, Jane Golding, Ginny Dickie and Dave Spellman and his wife Maryann; his mother-in-law, Doreen Forward; nine grandchildren: James Keirstead and Jenny Davidson, Spencer Daley and Steve Vangalen, Jordan Daley and Tyler Dempster, Corey Spellman, Courtney Spellman, Kayla Spellman, Kaleb Spellman, Randy Miller and Michael Miller; 4 great grandchildren: Ryker, Andrew, AJ and Harmony; his brother-in-law: Richard Forward and his wife Heather; his sisters-in-law: Muriel Keeping and Don Long, Sandra Doyle and her husband Mark, Gail Case and her husband Glenn and Rachel Lavigne; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
