Obituary of Phyllis Evelyn Doherty

Phyllis Evelyn Doherty was born on September 23, 1927 at Apohaqui, N.B. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and S. Edna (Cosman) Hayes.

Phyllis was formerly employed by Excelsior Life Insurance Company of Saint John, Maritime Publishing Co. of Sussex, Subscription Manager and Secretary of Kings County Record, Office Manager of Farmers Milk Marketing Board, as well as serving as Secretary/Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Community Youth Services of Sussex.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Phyllis leaves to mourn her daughter, Dawn Gard of Roachville; her two beloved grandsons: Kody and Aaron Gard also of Roachville; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Thompson of Sussex; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 Phyllis Evelyn Doherty of Roachville, N.B passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Center on January 3rd, 2019 at the age of 91.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Ora Doherty who passed away in 2012; her brothers: Talmage, Hedley, Ralph, Gordan, Ronald and Cecil and by her sisterm Muriel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). As per Phyllis’ wishes, at this time all services will be held privately, however there will be a private graveside service at a later date.
