Obituary of Hazel Douthwright

With broken hearts the family of Hazel Douthwright announce her passing at the Sussex Health Center on March 19, 2019 at the age of 68. She was born in Poodiac on February 11, 1951; she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Joyce Pollock.

Hazel had a passion for helping others and enjoyed greatly the time she spent helping with fundraisers for the Southfield United Church.

She loved quilting and time spent in her flower garden.

Family was so very important to Hazel, the time she looked forward to most was Sundays, she loved her Sunday night suppers and drives. She always looked forward to her time in the sugar woods with Andy.

She will live on in the hearts of her husband, Andy; her sons: Joe (Jenn) and Gordie and his wife Amanda; her grandchildren: Lily, Maezie and Isabella; her sister, Gladys Keith and her husband Harold of Norton; her brother, Ernest Pollock and his wife Shirley of Sussex; her aunts: Joannie Otis of Norton and Pauline Marshall of Ontario; her cousin, Russell Otis and his wife Bernice of Norton; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Corey and her husband Bill of Havelock; her brother-in-law, Brian McLong and his wife Heather of Havelock; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex from where visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A private graveside service will be held in Trinity Cemetery at a later date.
