Obituary of Roland Williams

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Roland Calvin Williams of Lower Cove, NB, which occurred at the Sussex Health Center on Saturday, April 20, 2019.  Roland was born in Belleisle, NB on December 1, 1929 and was the first born to Harold Sr. and Blanch (McLean) Williams.

He is survived by his second wife, Kathleen (Harrison) Williams; his children: Annabelle (Richard) Cripps, Maxine (Larry) Welton, Darlene (Hank) Garland, Jeremy Sr. "Jerry" Williams, and Joshua (Tania) Williams; grandchildren: David (Lisa) Williams,  Rolanda (Gene) Patterson, Adam (Delta) Gallant, Henry Gallant, Calvin (Karia) Gallant, Andrew (Jennifer) Welton, D.J. (Megan) Welton, John (Heather) Welton, Matthew (Julia) McKiel, Billie Jo McKiel, David “Hank” (Sally) Garland, Katelyn Garland, Jeremy (Kelsey) Williams Jr, Sheldon (Katrina) Williams, Dwight Williams, Jake Williams, Max Williams, Bradley Williams; seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.  Roland is also survived by his brothers: Claude (Barb) Williams, Francis (Barb) Williams; sister, Annabelle Lockhart; sisters-in-law: Bernice (Bob) Williams-Green, Daphne Barber, Denise (Chris) Jones, and two brothers-in-law: Ivan Oldford and Brian Oldford.

Besides his parents, Roland was predeceased by his beloved first wife, Susan (Oldford) Williams in 2005; his son, Harold Williams Jr. in 1998 and by his brother, Andrew Williams.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB, (506 433 1176), from where visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service, conducted by Rev. Dwight Cole,  will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11:00 am from the Wallace Community Chapel.   Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery in the spring.
